Frustrations and fishing

This is the land I love.

To me it's peaceful and beautiful.

In that dip is the pond we are headed to.

At the pond. Now to find a good spot to drop the line in.

With Poppa's help, Matthew gets his line in a good spot.

Waiting for the fish to bite.

Yea! Matthew's very 1st fish. He couldn't have been prouder.

After catching 5 fish pretty quickly Matthew got tired of his cane pole and wanted one of the reels. We all had a great time.

The frustrations have nothing to do with fishing. That was a perfect morning. My frustrations are the fact that they finished updating the phone and internet lines at our house this morning. I was able to use the internet before they showed up and now my computer will not or cannot get on the wireless internet. They were here 4 hours and it still doesn't work. They say it's not their system, but my computer. I have to give them my computer, well they want me to, so they can work on it. Another week without the computer. ARGH! They want to clean it up, uninstall and reinstall Windows, and up the RAM. Sigh....I just don't get how they didn't do anything to change how my computer interacts with the internet, yet now it doesn't work. I'm about ready to just get rid of the internet!

LOVE the pic of him sitting on the bank with his pole and his hat! TOO cute!

So sorry about your internet woes. Computers are wonderful when they work and unabidingly frustrating when they don't.

The fishing trip WAS relaxing. Being outdoors with the family is always special and Matthew's joy was delightful! So sorry about the internet problems. You are right that it seems weird that your computer was working fine with the internet BEFORE the change-over but wouldn't work with the new internet. Now I am not so sure I want them to change my internet. My computer is a lot like yours and I'm getting worried...

Kirsten, thank you! I thought so too. Could have only been cuter if he had worn his rubber boots.

Mom, I'm sure it will go fine for you. :)

Did you try getting a more powerful wireless router? We had to do that so that we could connect to the internet on our bluray and the wii. Just a thought.

That's interesting, never thought about it needing to be more powerful...

As usual, appreciate the pictures of Matthew and his loving family....and the fish. Reminds me of a similar picture of Karen on the fishing bank with her Grandpa Ulrich(also wearing a straw hat)taken in 1966. Maurine
