Back to being barn kitties...

They were driving me crazy in the back porch, so little or not they are back in the barn where they seem more at ease. And I'm more at ease and so Pan. Pan is putting her paw down on more cats in this house and so am I. Other then moving kittens around the biggest thing I got accomplished was getting most of the Easter stuff packed away. This evening Matthew went and hung out with Grandma, while I ate dinner with a friend. All in all a pretty nice day.

I don't think I've mentioned that the other day, while waiting on the doctor, Matthew saw a bus go by and told me so. In my head I knew that it had to be white, but I wanted to see what he would say. In Minnesota Phil had taught him that the bus up there was yellow. So I asked, was it yellow or white? He thought a moment and announced, "White bus." Well, I thought it might be a flunk. Later we passed a parked Fed Ex truck. He proudly pointed and announced, "White bus!" I was so proud that he had learned a color I didn't even correct him that it was a truck. I realized tonight that he definitely knows what an ambulance is. I told Mom in excitement and she announced he's known that for a week. Talk about a let down and how could I, the Mom, not know?

These are wonderful days.... I forgot all about those joys of new things so simple as learning colors. IT seems like so long ago.

Best Wishes from my Garden in the Midwest.

Sorry to point out that he knew 'ambulance' last week! He is learning so much so quickly, one can't really keep up! Enjoy!!!

Impossible to totally keep up with the miraculous growth! Just watch and wonder with enthusiasm; your blog is capturing so much too! You are a apecial mom. (AND thanks for sharing this journey.) OMG: we had a lightning and thunderstorm here in OC the other night that was incredible and weird. No rain at first and the crashes set off car alarms. It rattled windows and it also rattled poor Butch! He thought the world was ending. I thought of you.
