A full day of the outdoors

I'm sleeping with you tonight Dad.

See, I'm all tucked in.

Thanks Dad!

I've heard blue lips were all the rage when Mom went to high school.

The hunt...

It was another big day in our household, but not because we made history. (We've refused to potty in the big boy potty again for the last 2 days, but I'm hopeful.) We got up as early as we could, considering that Matthew kept us up half the night, and went to the Easter egg hunt. It was fun watching him. I told him to get the eggs, so he picked up one and wanted to examine it instead of running to get another. I told him to run and he ran past the eggs. But he managed to pick up a decent amount. After that we went to sign taxes so they could be sent off and stopped at the parents. Mom and I worked on her front flower beds and managed to move 2 of her big plants that were too big to be right next to the sidewalk. 2 down, 2 to go. After we left their house, we came home and worked on some outdoor stuff here. There's always so much stuff to do isn't there?

I wondered if you'd pick up on that! It looked amazingly like the color we used. I think I found my old tube last year and considered keeping it, but then I thought it's a good 11 years old, yuck!

That is so cute of Matthew with his dad. I suppose he tucked himself in all by himself? I remember those blue lips you two had! I secretly wished I could have some of that cool lipstick! Or at least that I could have had it back when I was in HS. In our day we had that whitish lipstick. It really looked awful on most of us! I think Matthew got lots of eggs for a not quite two year old.

I remember the white lips we had in the '60s. Blue is cooler! Black lips were in vogue for my daughter. (secretly thought YUCK) Matthrew looks so lovingly @ his Daddy:too precious. Matthew collected quite a stash! Very good job he did: I remember my now-grown-kids collecting rocks & weeds & bugs (& a few eggs) since it's all quite interesting when you're 2. Happy Spring to all.

Well, the black lipstick was still in when I went to HS, but no one really did that look at our tiny school. My friend and I that dared to wear blue were pretty out there! I might have been able to find white...but all the teachers informed us we looked dead or dying because of the blue lips. That same year a store asked us to model in their windows (we had to hold perfectly still) and they put yellow lipstick on me. I looked waxy and dead for sure then!

Yes, Matthew certainly does adore his Dad. And he did a lot better at hunting eggs then last year!
