I GOT IT!

Today during lunch Matthew decided to pick up his french fries with a fork. Every time he got one of those suckers on the fork he would say, "I got it!" It was a very proud moment for him.

Phrase of the day from daycare: "Shawn, no, timeout." Finger pointing included.

My little guys favorite things to do are try to send his big sister to time out and tell me "mama wude" when I get onto him...I have never been called rude by a 2 year old before, lol! Kim

My translation of Matthew's expression: "Just try to get away now--I got you and I'm watching."

I've never been called rude by a 2 yr old either, but mine does look at me very stern, points his finger and says "mommy bad." Never been called that either by a 2 yr old till now! They are just really amazing aren't they?

Yes, that's partly true. But it was also the fact that Shawn wouldn't let Matthew have any of the magnet alphabet letters on the board, even though both Michelle and I were telling him to share! Argh! This is the most stubborn little boy I've ever met, I think. He's 4 and listens way worse then Matthew.

Ummmm, he thought it was funny until Michelle wanted to know why he was laughing because Matthew was right and she sent him to time out! I think Shawn probably didn't think too much of Matthew's comedy after that and Matthew may have a slightly swelled head.

Unforgettable moments aren't they? Matthew is so smart and handsome; lots of character, too. :) I love his TRIUMPH over french fries! Don't those "baby-steps" feel like giant-leaps when the child is yours?
