Just in time and why me?

Well, the 3 of us shared a very uneventful weekend and were completely lazy all weekend. My biggest accomplishment was getting my planting done this afternoon. Right now I'm listening to rain pour down. It started a few hours after I finished up. Now you understand why it was "just in time."

Matthew has learned a new phrase. His mom is NOT pleased. It is, and I quote, "Mommy stupid." Now you understand "why me?" So far my lectures about how it's not funny and just plain mean have not made a dent. I believe I'm going to start ignoring it now and go into denial. My precious 2 year old baby cannot be calling me stupid. Nope, not happening...

Oh no! He called us 'naughty' and now you are 'stupid'. What's next? Maybe I should ask who will be slammed next. Luckily for you, this will pass. Ignoring is probably wise! If it doesn't get a reaction, he'll get tired of it. Hang in there.
Love the cloud picture!

Is that a common day-care insult?

Nope, at least I don't think so. We're really not sure where it came from. I've been called stupid 3 times already today. I haven't done well with ignoring it, but I'm resolving to better.

Hmmm. Wonder if knows what it means, and uses it as an insult.
I like the clouds, too. I bet that over a period of years you could collect enough really great shots to make a book titled "The Silo and Beyond." (or something like)

Maybe I will write a book someday about my silo, but for now I'll content myself with making it an excellent backdrop.

For the curious, Matthew decided to stop saying stupid anything for the moment and no, he wasn't trying to use it for the intended purpose. He just was trying out a new word, but it still stings a little anyway. Why is it always the Mom? (I know, because I'm always with him, but why the Mom?)
