A House Divided

My Auntie went to KU.
My Dad and I went to K-State.
Today is the 109th Sunflower Showdown.
All I can say is...SHAKE SOME TAIL FEATHERS LOOSE WILDCATS!
I mean...may the best team win.

Auntie, at preschool there is such passionate KU families that at least one child can sing the KU fight song. Matthew has started marching around saying, "Go KU! Go KU! Go KU!" This has led to me marching around singing, "Fight you K-State Wildcats, for alma mater fight, Fight, Fight, Fight, Glory in the battle for the purple and the white..." But in all honesty, it all makes me smile.

You got it! I can hear the Walbash too!

Yeah, I smile too, and go for K-State if KU is out--unless Gozaga or Boston College is somehow in the picture. But, I admit, my smile is very wide if the Jayhawks tie knots in the Wildcats' tails.

It's good we understand each other Auntie!

Yes, that IS a good thing.
I think I will get a bit of fleece on sale and cut a little K-State muffler for Matthew, if you will tell my how wide and long it should be.
I'll also get a little strip of KU fleece for the same purpose. Thought it might be a low impact way for him to try being "different" around the adults in his life, and to learn to cheer without being obnoxious...
Of course, what seems low-impact to me might be HUGE to others in your household.
Whatta you think?

Why not make it half and half? Matthew is saying he likes both teams. I'll take the heat and he'll love it.

That works for me! Send dimensions. Don't want him to trip-fall over it!
