Hello....this thing on...?

Why am I always staring at the business end of this??? It's my 20th move!

Sorry it's been so long, I hope you all are still with me. Hello, hello? Anyway, I've not been posting due to a lack of post-able stuff, but because I have been waiting for several weeks for the final living arrangements to be decided. It's swung wildly from furnished 1 bedroom apartments to hotel rooms, to two bedrooms and back again. I won't even talk about all the time Phil wasted talking to a woman who claimed and everyone else claimed, was the only one to make the decision, only to have her announce she didn't cover our area and to call another lady. What!? Anyway, late this afternoon the decision was finalized. Phil has to live in a furnished 2 bedroom apartment with a roommate. Phil is soooo thrilled. Since that is the ruling, Matthew and I are moving home for the summer. We'll evaluate finances and decide what to do after that. We've decided to be conservative since the government is talking about not paying us for awhile and they still haven't found it necessary to pay us for the last move. Lovely stuff ladies and gentlemen. I'd wear black if I hadn't packed it.

Judy brings up a good point--it is spring and at least you'll have all the room you want for gardening this summer! Good luck with all that packing and moving! See you soon. Hugs to Phil--I wish he could come too.

Thank you Judy, your uplifting words did wonders for my heart.

Mom, yes the garden space is good...but as for spring, it's summer here. Do I really have to go backwards?

At least you are going home... not much else to say on this black friday, is there? Let's share a glass of wine and drink to solving that budget this evening... I definitely feel your stress, hang in there! My kids asked to go to a movie tonight and I had to tell them "not tonight, not until the government approves a military spending plan"... yep, never thought I'd ever say that one LOL

THIS IS THE ARMY
(to be sung to the WWII tune of same name)

This is the Army, Mrs. Phil.
Moving back and forth is such a thrill.
To be together--is was your hope,
But you're an Army Wife, you can cope!

This is the Army, Sgt L.
We've planned for you, as you can tell.
You have a room-mate and not your wife,
But you'll suck it up--it's Army life.

You know I would change it for you 3 if I could.

Erin, I'd love to drink a glass of wine with you on the deck, cheers!

Auntie, you always make me laugh, thank you. :)

It would take the patience of a saint to smile through all of this turmoil, and uncertainty. It is OK to be furious with the obvious incompetency, but do hope that you find a silver lining soon. You never know.

Maurine, I have actually found that silver lining. If Phil hadn't gotten hurt, we'd be losing him to Iraq for a year, so losing him to a roommate in the states is better. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

He's been in deployed too much already! Pray for the troops going over.
