Sigh

I had to go to the garden store to buy my Mom some mums, so I decided to buy a really cool Galeux d'Eysines pumpkin too. I got it home proudly (while my husband was telling me I pick the ugliest pumpkins). A little later, I noticed Matthew playing with the stem while I was on the phone. It seemed loose. I checked it out after I got off the phone and it came right off. The inside of the pumpkin is totally moldy green and it has water in it because you can hear it sloshing now. Sigh...

oh no! they ARE ugly, but in a funky-cool kind of way. :)
so sorry you got a mushy one, though - so disappointing!

Oh, too bad about the galeux d'eysines. I planted them this year and they went absolutely wild. I've still got 18 in my garage. I suppose it's not too practical to ship you a 15 lb pumpkin.

Kirsten, I know that's why I LOVE them!

Judy, you are just to sweet to even contemplate for a second sending me one that heavy! I'll try and get a new one Thursday. I just had to share because I was crushed. (That and I've watched your bumper crop come in.) I've heard they are delicious eating.

So sorry that you got a bad one. Trade it in--QUICKLY!

Um... were you planning to EAT yours? I thought you wanted one for decoration.
