Dr. Seuss's Birthday
We went to story time today, and in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, we read 1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish. Then we made a red and blue fish in a fish bowl for our craft. I don't think it will last long, as the glue and water is corn syrup with a drop of blue food coloring in it, but it's pretty cute. How are you celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday?

how cute! i love that! what a fun craft.
I thought it was rather clever too. Although my normal tendency wouldn't be to use corn syrup!
The craft looks so cute! It could attract ants or something, so enjoy it while it lasts and then maybe consider making another with regular glue.
We celebrated by having a Dr. Seuss reading night with the parents and students and we are reading Dr. Seuss books in class.
All I did was enjoy all the ways the kids were involved. Very cool that kids have their own writer/hero to honor, in addition to the regular national figures.
