Mother's Day

 Hello all you lovely mommies!  I hope that you all had a fabulous day with your kids and family.  We visited and ate lunch with my Grandmom.  She enjoyed the balloon and corsage we brought her.

As for me, I was shuttled back to bed yesterday morning (after I'd ate half a breakfast bar) and a bowl of peas and a biscuit showed up for breakfast in bed.  It was the best peas I ever ate.  I was also presented with this beautifully decorated pot.  It is a dinosaur and butterfly trying to outrun the blue tornado on the left.  (Matthew has decided tornadoes wiped out the dinosaurs.)  After lunch we went to the garden shop and picked out a toothache plant and the trailing plant that isn't petunias, for the pot.  It was an awesome day!

 But first, the boy!  Posing beside the mud "artwork" Matthew painted on his Poppa's truck hood.  Luckily, his Poppa was proud.

Phil moved back to Hood on the 13th.  We decided that it would be easier, at this base, to get base housing, so he got to move in a week later.  Matthew and I have toured the house via Skype.  The first few days there, were spent begging for a job.  Since he didn't have much luck, he was sent to lifeguarding class and has successfully passed.  He will be working as a lifeguard on post till November.  In the meantime, he is working on turning in his packet with the hope of going back to recruiting.  Well done dear!

KC trip

 Yesterday we went to KC to visit my aunt and go shopping her favorite second hand store.  I got some new clothes and Matthew got an ab roller and graduation clothes.

 There was still time to play with Auntie's toys.

As it was getting towards supper time, Auntie made the small boy a PB and honey.

Thanks for the new pocket camera Auntie!  So far so good.

Warpaint, Realization, and Flowers

 Matthew's Mamaw painted his face tonight.  He was certainly was proud of it and hoped that it wouldn't wear off overnight.

 So tonight I was playing around with my mom's camera.  Here is Matthew seen through an iris.

I finally admit it Auntie.  My camera can't capture the finest detail anymore.  Not that did a real great job with flowers most of the time anyway.  But I got some shots tonight, that I was real pleased with.

Cinderella

While in the watering the garden last night, Matthew gave a big sigh and announced, "I wish I could kiss Cinderella." Me, being most surprised, asked why he wanted to be able to kiss her. With a flick of the shoulder, he announced, "Because she's so beautiful." Oh boy, look out ladies!

"Let's do a project!"

It has become a Saturday morning ritual to get up at 7am, watch cartoons and eat breakfast, and by 9am comes the demand/plea, "Mom, lets do a project!" It is something we do together. This is the one we did this morning. It's our "house" and Mamaw, Poppa, me, and Matthew from left to right. We are playing hide and seek.

Back in February, the ASP kids made valentine hearts out of coffee filters, that they colored with markers and misted with water to "tie dye" them. There was a huge pile that didn't get claimed, so I took them home to use for something.

Before Easter, Matthew and I used them to make Easter eggs for our Easter pictures. In this one it's sprinkling, in case you wondered what the line with drops at the bottom are. I've grown to really love collaborating with Matthew on Saturday mornings.
