In a kids craft book, I saw a project about making a turkey out of a stuffed paper bag. We don't have any of those at the moment, but we did have a full bag of brown plastic bags. In another project, the turkey's tail was made out of construction handprints. So Matthew, Phil, and I traced our hands 3 times and made a tail for the turkey. With our nifty printer, I blew up the head for pinecone turkeys and voila! Matthew colored it a lovely green (and one side of the beak purple.) Tomorrow I plan to write what we are thankful for on our handprints.
Matthew and I are pretty proud of how it turned out. Happy Thanksgiving!

I like your turkey, Matthew! (And Anne and Phil too)!!! So fun that you all used your hand prints. It turned out so cute and is just what you needed to decorate for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Have a beautiful day!
We used the 1 of the crazy scissor set you gave us to cut the handprints out too. The pinking shear ones made it look more like "feathers."
Your Thanksgiving is off to a great start....thanks for sharing the outstanding turkey decoration. Actually, he must really like his new family, as he appears quite happy and a fine friend for Matthew. Enjoy the holiday, and we send our love, Ken and Maurine
That Turkey Bird has made itself at home! You do great work. Happy Thanksgiving, just you 3, in your new home!
I'm behind (of course) but I hope the new hot water heater is making life better. Your family did a great job on making a new Thanksgiving decoration and I hope your Thanksgiving was a terrific one!
Very cute! Happy Thanksgiving!
Good idea to use the crazy scissors!
