My blogger friend Kirsten at Thanks for the Lemonade, took the most amazing photo. I just had to try to take one too. I have no idea how to take photos manually, but I flipped on manual and away I went. Now, mine didn't take as well. Obviously I can't hold still for that long well enough, but I'm thrilled with my first attempt at a long exposure nightshot! Mine's alot darker then hers, but I am amazed at how much color I got. I'm ready to try my hand at a full moon. Not that it will be tonight with all the clouds...
By the way, that's a night shot of the bird feeder Matthew and I made out of an OJ container today.

hey, cool!! isn't it fun? :)
p.s. i'm itching to try a full moon, too.
Yea it's fun! I just can't hardly hold still enough even leaning the camera on something though.
me neither. for the one i posted, i had the camera sitting on the window sill. i didn't show you all my blurry ones. :)
Your photo is cool!
In the 'olden' days of my youth, people used to set up the camera pointed to the northern sky and leave. Later when they came back the photo would show the arcs from stars caused by the rotation of the earth. I always thought it would be fun to do, but we didn't have a camera that worked that way.
Even if it was fuzzy, I really liked the shot. That wonderful feeder really stood out. You and Matthew do some really cool things.
Mom, wow that would be cool! We need to get one!
Auntie, thank you, I try to do neat stuff with Matthew that's educational and enriching. Sometimes I feel I do great, others like I don't do near enough stuff.
He does need to learn to entertain himself with imaginative play where he makes up the story and the action. I bet you do just fine with the educational/enriching things.
(BTW, I meant to say it is important that he also learn to entertain himself--don't know if he is able to yet or not.)
Today he did a pretty good job, most not as much as I HAVE to be with him at all times playing. He's getting there.
